About

A national platform for rural inclusion

RuralConnect convenes government, industry, investors and development partners around a single question: how Nigeria connects the 25 million people still outside the digital economy.

Our mandate

Turning the connectivity gap into an investment case

Rural connectivity has long been framed as an obligation. RuralConnect frames it as a market. The summit brings operators, regulators and financiers into the same room to agree what is buildable, what is bankable, and what needs policy to move first.

The programme is built around evidence: coverage data, cost models, and case studies from operators already serving low-density markets.

Who convenes it

An initiative of Business Metrics Limited

Business Metrics Limited convenes RuralConnect with a coalition of public institutions, network operators, technology providers and development finance partners. The 2026 edition is the second in the series.

01

Convened

Business Metrics Limited, with public and private sector partners across six tracks.

02

Second edition

RuralConnect 2.0 follows the inaugural summit, widening the agenda from access to economics.

03

Outcome-led

Each track closes with commitments recorded and published after the summit.

The next 25 million are waiting to be connected.

Government cannot do it alone. Industry cannot do it alone. Investors cannot do it alone. It will take a coalition.
